Sharjah Celebrates Arab Bicycle Day with the Khorfakkan Cycling Challenge

As part of the celebration of Arab Bicycle Day, observed annually on October 30, the Sharjah Sports Council organized a successful edition of the Khorfakkan Cycling Challenge, which witnessed remarkable enthusiasm and wide participation with 200 male and female cyclists taking part. The event was held in collaboration with a number of supporting and sponsoring entities and institutions.

The 27-kilometer race saw strong competition across all categories.
In the Emirati Men’s category, the winners were:
🥇 1st place: Yousif Amiri
🥈 2nd place: Rashid Al Baloushi
🥉 3rd place: Hilal Al Harbi

In the Emirati Women’s category:
🥇 1st place: Marwa Al Qahwar
🥈 2nd place: Hala Mohamed
🥉 3rd place: Noura Al Ghafli

In the Open Men’s category:
🥇 1st place: Kirill Mailer
🥈 2nd place: Ibrahim Al Refai
🥉 3rd place: Salman Al Mansoori

And in the Open Women’s category:
🥇 1st place: Madi Balak
🥈 2nd place: Isabella Darby
🥉 3rd place: Masha Biekovskaya

The event was attended by and featured the awarding of winners by H.E. Dr. Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, President of the Arab Cycling Federation; H.E. Mansour Bou Assiba, President of the UAE Cycling Federation and Member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Cycling Federation; and H.E. Dr. Ashraf Emam, Secretary-General of the Arab Cycling Federation and President of the Sudanese Cycling Federation.

On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Yasser Omar Al Doukhi affirmed that the Arab Cycling Federation highly values the significant role played by the United Arab Emirates, particularly the Emirate of Sharjah, in supporting and developing the sport of cycling. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Sharjah Sports Council for its outstanding efforts and the successful organization of the Khorfakkan Cycling Challenge, which reflects the emirate’s commitment to promoting and spreading the culture of cycling across the community.
