The Arab Bike Center approves its programs for the current year 2024

His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Humaid Al Qasimi, President of the Arab Cycling Federation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Cycling Center, chaired the first meeting of the Center’s Board of Directors for the current year, which was organized remotely using audio- visual communication technology and was attended by all deputies and members of the Board of Directors, the Secretary General of the Arab Cycling Federation, and the Center’s General Director, Counselor Ismail Salem. Al Hosani and his technical coordination were Muhammad Fadi Kalash, Executive Secretary of the Union and the Centre.

During this meeting, the programs and activities organized by the Center during the past year were reviewed, the activities, courses, workshops and training programs that will be organized during the current year were approved, and the estimated operating budget of the Center for the same year was approved.

His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Humaid directed all federations to actively participate in the center’s activities, saying that this center was established in order to develop and support Arab cycling through the courses and training programs that it organizes and attracts the most famous and skilled experts from the International Federation of Sport and the Arab countries, stressing the importance of the federations’ interaction with the center’s programmes. He entrusted its members to attend courses and workshops that suit every specialty. He also stressed the importance of building the capabilities of cycling referees by encouraging and urging the younger generation to enter advanced courses in order to obtain refereeing certificates for the elite category and then international ones in all cycling disciplines.

He called on the center’s management to continue following up with the federations to nominate their candidates for the approved courses, thanking them at the same time for the tremendous efforts they have made and are making in order to facilitate the work of the center despite many circumstances that were hindering the progress of work.
