Yaser Al-Doukhi Elected President of the Arab Cycling Federation for the 2024–2028 Term

  • September 1, 2025

The Ordinary General Assembly of the Arab Cycling Federation has elected the UAE candidate, Dr. Yaser Al-Doukhi, as President of the Federation for the 2024–2028 term. The meeting was hosted in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the participation of fifteen out of twenty General Assembly members.

The General Assembly witnessed a distinguished electoral atmosphere marked by democratic competition and transparency. It was preceded by an Extraordinary General Assembly, during which several important resolutions were ratified to support the Federation’s progress and further develop its activities.

The elections resulted in the victory of Abdulaziz Al-Shahrani from Saudi Arabia and Mohamed Katem from Morocco as Vice Presidents, while Fatima Issa Al-Ghanim from Qatar was elected Vice President representing the women’s category, in a step that reflects the Federation’s commitment to empowering women and strengthening their presence in cycling.

The newly elected Board of Directors includes: Ahmed Jaber Abdel Majeed from Egypt, Khaled Kawkash from Syria, Jamal Abdul Latif Al-Kuwari from Qatar, Dr. Tarek Abdulaziz Al-Khayyat from Jordan, Dr. Nour El-Din Al-Triki from Libya, Mohamed Eidrous Al-Eidrous from Yemen, and Youssef Harb, President of the Palestinian Federation (appointed).

The election of Dr. Yaser Al-Doukhi as President of the Arab Cycling Federation reflects the distinguished status that UAE sports have achieved on the Arab and international stage. It also reaffirms the strong confidence in his competence and administrative expertise to lead the Federation into a new era of development and modernization, serving Arab national federations and strengthening the Arab cycling presence in continental and global arenas.
