Arab Cycling Federation Athletes Committee Holds Its First Meeting and Discusses Future Work Plan

The Athletes Committee of the Arab Cycling Federation held its first meeting on Thursday, 4 June 2026, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Jaber and with the participation of committee members. During the meeting, several topics related to the committee’s responsibilities and future plans were discussed.

At the beginning of the meeting, the committee agreed on its administrative structure, appointing Mr. Hamdi Saleh Moqbel as Vice Chairman and Mr. Mohammed Al-Mukhtar Ahmed Al-Kama as Committee Secretary.

Committee members also discussed the broad framework of the committee’s work plan for the coming period and agreed to hold another meeting in the near future to develop a detailed action plan that will include initiatives and activities aimed at serving Arab cyclists and strengthening their role in the development of cycling across the Arab world.

The committee emphasized the importance of enhancing direct communication with Arab athletes and listening to their views and suggestions. It also called on all cyclists to engage with the committee and submit any observations or challenges they face, helping to identify appropriate solutions and raise them to the relevant authorities. This reflects the committee’s role in representing athletes and safeguarding their interests.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Jaber, Chairman of the Committee, expressed his aspiration to achieve the committee’s objectives and strengthen its presence and active role in serving Arab athletes and advancing cycling throughout the Arab region.
