Arab Cycling Federation Strategy and Follow-up Committee Holds Its First Meeting and Discusses Mechanisms for Implementing the Strategic Plan

The Strategy and Follow-up Committee of the Arab Cycling Federation held its first meeting on Sunday, 7 June 2026, under the chairmanship of Dr. Tareq Al-Khayyat and with the participation of committee members. During the meeting, several topics related to the committee’s responsibilities and work plan for the upcoming period were discussed.

At the beginning of the meeting, it was agreed to appoint Dr. Mohsen Aziz as Vice Chairman of the Committee, while Mr. Omar Al Naqbi was appointed as Committee Secretary.

Committee members discussed future working mechanisms and emphasized the importance of reviewing the Arab Cycling Federation’s Strategic Plan, which had been previously developed, as a foundation for preparing the committee’s work program and contributing to the enhancement and updating of the strategy in line with the Federation’s objectives and future vision.

The committee also agreed to study the strategic pillars and proposed implementation plans, as well as distribute roles and responsibilities among its members to ensure the achievement of the desired objectives and to monitor implementation through clear performance indicators.

Members stressed the importance of maintaining continuous coordination with the Federation’s various committees and reviewing their plans and programs once approved, with the aim of monitoring implementation, ensuring alignment with the Federation’s overall strategy, and achieving integration among all committees.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman and members of the Committee reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling their role in monitoring and developing the Federation’s strategic plan in a manner that supports the objectives of the Arab Cycling Federation and strengthens its position and role in serving cycling across the Arab world.
